Video: Experiencing Local Culture

International travel is an extremely rewarding experience, especially when you are on a medical mission. Working side-by-side with local practitioners and helping people in a time of need becomes a bonding experience. Getting to see the local culture is the icing on the cake of a mission. Each trip is a little different. On some missions you work 12 hour days and have only a day at the end to see a historical site. While other missions, experiencing the culture is built in to every day by staying with a host family.

In this video, several providers share their favorite cultural experiences from their medical mission.
