Travelers do not have to spend any money – unless they want to purchase gifts during the site-seeing day at the end of the trip.
About Shoulder to Shoulder
Shoulder to Shoulder has been working in Honduras for more than 30 years (since 1990). We were originally primarily providing medical brigades, in partnership with US Medical Schools and Residency programs and Hospitals. Through the years, however, we have branched into providing programs for Nutrition; Scholarships; and Education. We have 10 Honduran employees and no US staff. The US Executive Director lived full-time in Honduras from 2013-2018. Since then, she has volunteered her time, with trips to Honduras twice a year. All administrative work and Board of Directors work are provided by US volunteers. Videos of our various programs can be found on the Home Page of our website: https://www.shouldertoshoulder.org/
