About International Medical Relief: International Medical Relief (IMR) is a leader in global health and development, working in 57 countries around the world. IMR offers short-term assignments for volunteer medical and dental professionals, as well as students and non-medical volunteers.

About the mission: You will be setting up clinics outside the city in remote villages. You can expect to see many respiratory conditions, diarrheal diseases, and dehydration. In addition, you’ll see chronic diseases like diabetes and asthma. Make a difference by providing care, education, and empowering local communities. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in Diwali, the festival of lights, which marks the Hindu New Year. It is celebrated around the harvest, with houses and businesses decorated with candles and bright lights.

About the country: India is the second most populous country in the world, and the world’s largest democracy. India has a rich cultural history and is one of the most ethnically diverse places in the world. It also has an interesting colonization history, including winning independence from Britain and being split into two countries – India and Pakistan. While’s its economic performance has been strong, its development has been uneven.
