Colorado Disaster Relief
About International Medical Relief: International Medical Relief (IMR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2002 with the believe that knowledge of basic health facts and access to healthcare should not be the prerogative of select nations, regions, or classes, but should be shared by as many people as possible. International Medical Relief provides healthcare to under-served and vulnerable people around through world. International Medical Relief recruits qualified medical teams and offers short-term assignments for volunteer doctors, dentists, and other healthcare professionals to provide acute medical care, dental care, and community health education.
About the mission: IMR is staffing the congregate shelters in Colorado with medical support. You will be managing resident needs that otherwise go unmet. These tasks include showers, movement, behavioral health, addressing bodily fluids during the patient’s acute illness. Monitor patients for any escalating health issues, including COVID-19. Join IMR as they provide support training, testing, and patient care to assisted living, homeless shelters, and group housing facing serious challenges. If you are not a provider from Colorado, please reach out to IMR to get more information on transportation, accommodation, and meal options.
