About the Mission: Medical volunteers will be setting up pop-up clinics in various remote communities and providing acute, primary care and education to local populations. Each day, you will travel by boat to remote communities, bringing all of your supplies with you. Each evening,  you will return to an off-the-grid dorm facility.

About Panama: Panama is a Spanish speaking, Central American country, known for the Panama Canal. Colonized by Spain in the 16th Century, Panama ultimately gained its independence in 1903. Panama has a rich geography, surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean, plus mountains that form the Continental Divide. It’s a tropical climate, with temperatures and humidity remaining at a constant high year-round.

Sponsored Trip Details: If you are chosen as on of the providers to go on this medical mission, the Making a Difference Foundation will cover the program costs associated with this trip. The program costs include staying at an off-the-grid dorm facility, meals, and boat transportation once you arrive in country.
