If you’ve been anywhere on the internet the last month, you will have seen a plethora of memes about the “good ol’ days” of 2019. For the Making a Difference Foundation, 2019 was a pretty incredible year. We made giant strides forward in fulfilling our mission of igniting the passions of CHG employees and medical providers to give back.
Sometimes it is helpful to take a minute to look back and reflect on where we have been and to that end, we are excited to share with you our 2019 Annual Report. Every aspect of our work grew significantly over the past year. In our report you’ll read about how we went from four medical mission trips to twelve! We also increased the number of grants given to local nonprofits from 27 to 47! It was a busy year! We matched your donations to the United Way and the Employee Compassion Fund, supported nonprofits providing healthcare to some of the most vulnerable populations, and together we pitched in to help out in the wake of Hurricane Dorian.
The last few weeks have been challenging for us all as we face the Coronavirus. We know that everyone needs a little good news right about now and our hope is that the stories in our report will encourage and inspire you! You’ll be able to read about Randy Archibald, a Salt Lake Marathon provider, who was able to travel with us on a medical mission to Guatemala. He shares how this experience impacted his life and work. Rayna Arthur shares her passion for volunteering with Children’s Miracle Network. And Amanda Kunkel explains how the Employee Compassion Fund supported her family in a time of crisis.
Please take some time to read through the report and celebrate with us the amazing work we were able to accomplish together. We could not have done any of this without you!
